The state of permacrisis has a devastating impact upon society and individuals throughout the county including cost-of-living crisis, climate emergency and much more. Could a wellbeing economy that is based upon a society focused on human and environmental wellbeing rather than economic factors be the solution?
Projects delivered under the consortium bid of the UK Community Renewal Fund programme aimed to scope and deliver a range of initiatives which align with a wellbeing economy in Pembrokeshire. The consortium bid was supportive of the Welsh Government’s priorities as a founding member of the Wellbeing Economy Governments Group and the Wellbeing Economy Alliance Cymru. The initiatives delivered were also in alignment with Pembrokeshire County Council’s 10 year Economic and Regeneration Strategy, the Wellbeing of Future Generations of Wales Act (2015) and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
